So thank god Alannah Myles returned in 2008 with a new album entitled, you guessed it, Black Velvet, which includes a re-recording of the title track.
Myles clearly hasn't lost her voice unless they just used the original vocal track, which is possible , but the song's choice of direction is a weak attempt at injecting new life into a song that doesn't really need it in the first place.
